About Kiyasha Biswas

Kiyasha Biswas is an accomplished eighth-grade student with a deep passion for computer science, education, and the arts. She is a certified JavaScript developer and an active competitor in the American Computer Science League (ACSL), where she has earned numerous accolades—including First Place in the Elementary Division and two Bronze Medals in the Junior Division, and a Gold Medal in the Intermediate Division. Her achievements reflect not only technical skill but also her ability to problem-solve, think critically, and perform under pressure.

Kiyasha is also a dedicated instructor, teaching ACSL concepts to students in both the Elementary and Junior divisions. By working with younger learners, she has developed strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills—learning how to break down complex topics into clear and engaging lessons. Teaching has strengthened her own understanding of computer science and helped her grow as a confident public speaker and collaborator.

Outside of her STEM interests, Kiyasha is a trained Odissi dancer. Odissi, a classical Indian dance form, has taught her discipline, rhythm, patience, and the value of expressing emotion through movement. The dedication and practice required in dance mirror the focus and perseverance needed in computer science. Balancing both teaching and dance has allowed Kiyasha to cultivate a unique blend of structure and creativity, shaping her into a well-rounded individual with a deep appreciation for both logic and art.

She lives with her sister and their dog, Simba, and enjoys reading in her free time. Kiyasha continues to expand her skills in computer science and aspires to inspire other young students to explore technology and discover their own passions.
